Woven by looms in Bishu, Aichi, this VANGA original fabric is a culmination of Japanese craftsmanship.
The shimmering threads woven into the black background subtly yet distinctly express their individuality, showing different characteristics for each color.

It took a year to complete the fabric for the cut Jacquard series.
To realize the designer's vision, we had to start by creating the yarn.
There were various stories along the way, including the challenge of finding craftsmen capable of weaving this fabric.
With the help of Mr. Yamada from the Material Center and Mr. Iwata from Iwazen Co., Ltd., whom we consulted many times, we managed to bring the project to completion.

When the designer brought the fabric design, I thought, "This is tough—what if we can't make it?" However, I was moved by the designer's strong desire to create this fabric, which persisted over the years, and decided to take on the challenge.
The process of completing the cut Jacquard series was truly a series of tightrope walks.
We had to start from scratch by making the yarn because there was no thread that matched the designer's vision of a vibrant sheen. Even if we managed to create the yarn, there was still the concern that we might not be able to weave it. I started with the determination that I would take full responsibility if it didn’t work out, but once we took the leap, everything miraculously came together.
The most appealing aspect of this fabric is that the designer personally performed the final cut.
